Hotel Schmidt - Hamburg

The staff were the best. the room was large and recently renovated. Overall the service was terrific. I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Schmidt in Hamburg. the staff members were truly amazing, the room was spacious and recently updated, and the service provided was fantastic. the hotel's traditional charm and immaculate cleanliness made my experience thoroughly enjoyable.

We stayed 1 night and it was a really good fit. Location: the hotel was close enough to Residential Area and Close to Shops and Public Transportation, the airport and a train line. Great to be 500 metres away from Eat, enjoyed our meal there.

Savoury and rich breakfast with meatballs, tomatoes and fruit, welcoming service.

Location, within easy reach of facilities but far enough not to be in the thick of it all, local amenities within a short walk, buses, tube etc. Good selection for Breakfast.

Only stayed one night after a concert so hard to find fault, only down side was being on garden level in the villa at the front, in the early hours was still very noisy outside with the local bar, and youths across the way at the tube station quite loud, so having a window open in the night proved to noisy, the room however was comfortable enough for a short stay. But would benefit from getting the shutters fixed.

I had a quiet, good nights sleep and a great breakfast in a very pleasant dining room. Good places to eat nearby, and a nice area to stroll around in the evening and get some fresh air.

I had to accept a room without en-suite, but I think it was because I arrived on a Bank Holiday and there had been no staff to service the normal rooms. I was annoyed initially, but actually it was no problem as I was just about the only guest in the whole hotel!

The rooms are compact, tidy, and equipped with all the essentials, making for a pleasant stay with friendly service.

Loved my room which was in an old villa and had a little patio. Breakfast room was sunny and nice and breakfast was simple and good. Staff were very friendly. Area was green (but not quiet). Bed was comfortable.

Location is a bit noisy (but closing the windows cut out most of it).

Reception decided to close up early - suppossed to be there until 10pm, but closed from just after 9pm. (Hardly the middle of the night) They provide drinking glasses in room, but no water or any other liquid rereshement. Mini bar fridge was on, but totally empty. Room in a block around the corner up 2 flights of stairs. No offer to help with luggage. Expected far more for the price!!! Definitely not worth staying there.

Convenient Location: This place is super close to a cozy pub, popular sights, and public transportation 🚃. the breakfast spread is top-notch, featuring fresh tomatoes and fruits. Plus, the staff here are incredibly helpful and friendly.

My reservation made through Booked.net was not registered at the hotel when I arrived. However a room as available anyway.

Access to the S-bahn (railway system) couldn't be easier - it's just across the road! Travelling from the airport to the hotel, and from the hotel into the city, were both quick, inexpensive and easy. It is also close to several shops and some good restaurants. We chose the hotel based on proximity to family that we were visiting, rather than recommendations, but were very pleased overall.

No English TV channels; 3 different houses are used for guest rooms so we had to walk in the rain to get to the breakfast room. One of the houses is next to a smokers tent so rooms near that smell of cigarette smoke

Always have a really good stay here. the hotel is overall clean with the best staff. the location is unbeatable, right next to shops and public transportation. the room is compact but reasonably large with a double bed.

Transfer using metro and highway it's very easy. Very nice residential area.

The hotel is just in front of the s-bahn metro station. Very quiet neighborhood with some good shops and around.

When I entered my room, I found a messy toilet pot. I ask the receptionist to make it clean, but when I came back that night I found it the same way. The next morning I complained once again and, when I came back in the evening, it was still dirty: the staff just made my bed but totally neglected to clean the bathroom! Messy toilet pot, and hairs in the shower was what I found again. I had to clean it myself. I got furious and the hotel staff wrote me an apologyze letter, but as a matter of fact I had a messy bathroom for two days and eventually I had to clean other people's dirt by myself. Moreover there were mould's spots in the shower, and my bed sheets were worn out. I'm not obsessive about hygiene, but this is really too much for me.
